krisp alternative for mac
A Krisp alternative you get to keep.
Krisp is good, and it is the best-known noise cancelling app. It has also become a meeting assistant with a subscription and an account. If all you want is a clean microphone on your Mac, Aurio does that one thing, from $40, and the app is yours to keep.

When Krisp is the better choice
- You want meeting notes, transcripts or recordings, not just a clean mic.
- You want the other people on the call cleaned up too, or echo removed.
- You also work on Windows, or need it on an Intel Mac.
- Your company already pays for it.
When Aurio is
- You want noise removed from your own mic, and nothing else running.
- You want to own the app rather than rent it. After the first year you keep the app and its denoising; renewing only buys new versions. Or buy the lifetime licence and never renew.
- You don’t want another account.
- You want a strength slider, and an A/B preview so you can hear the difference on your own voice before a call.
Before paying for either, try the free option. macOS has Voice Isolation built in, in apps that support Mic Modes (how to use Voice Isolation on Mac).
Trying it next to Krisp
The two don’t conflict. Install Aurio, pick “Aurio Microphone” in your call app instead of “Krisp Microphone”, and compare. Switching back is the same dropdown. The trial is 14 days and asks for nothing.
Hear it on your own voice.
14 days of full denoising, then from $40, yours to keep — see pricing.
