Two small fixes.

The microphone menu had shrunk to the width of whichever device was selected. It fills the panel again, in the popover and during setup.

Your trial now says “1 day left” instead of “1 days left”.

A security fix.

This release tightens how Aurio installs and updates the parts of itself that run with administrator privileges. Nothing changes in day-to-day use.

Everyone gets this one, including anyone whose year of updates has run out.

Record for as long as you need, and stop when you’re ready.

The preview used to stop itself after five seconds, often mid-sentence. It now records for up to fifteen and you end it yourself, with a Cancel button for when you’d rather start over.

Aurio also tells you when it didn’t hear anything, instead of handing back a preview that played perfectly and sounded like silence.

Starting a trial no longer asks for an email address.

1.0.1 made the address optional on the first-run screen, but the same field in Settings still required one. Both are gone. Your trial is tied to your Mac, so there is nothing to give and nothing to verify: open Aurio and press Start.

Aurio collects no email address for trials at all.

Two fixes to how trials are tied to your Mac.

• Your trial no longer ends when you update macOS. Aurio used to identify your Mac in a way that a system update changed, so a routine update made it look like a different machine and the trial stopped being recognised. Aurio now identifies your Mac by its hardware alone.
• An email address is now optional when you start a trial. The trial is tied to your Mac rather than to an address, and Aurio never sends you email. You can still give one if you’d like support to be able to find your trial.

Aurio’s first public release. Aurio adds a virtual microphone to macOS that removes background noise from your voice in real time. Pick “Aurio Microphone” once in Zoom, Meet, Slack, OBS or any recorder, and every app hears the cleaned signal.

• Private by default. Denoising runs entirely on your Mac and works offline — your microphone audio is never uploaded. Aurio reaches the network only to check for updates and validate your licence, and denoising never waits on that check. Crash reporting stays off unless you turn it on.
• Deliberately simple. A switch, a strength slider and a microphone picker. No profiles, no per-app settings, and one model does the work.
• Light on your Mac. A small neural model sized for real-time use on Apple silicon, with latency low enough for live calls. Switch denoising off and audio passes through untouched.
• One input for every app. Aurio installs itself as a real input device, so anything that can pick a microphone can pick Aurio.
• Free for 14 days, then $40 a year — the app permanently, plus a year of updates. If the subscription lapses Aurio keeps denoising for good and only new releases stop. Security releases are offered either way.
